RIPS runs them, so they can't be all that bad on the RBs.

Nitrous should only be used by the well informed! Nitrous actually is very safe if the actual nitrous set up is used accordingly to the set up of your engine. There is no way you can spray a single nozzle kit into your intake pipe and disperse the nitrous evenly throughout all six cylinders! The sixth cylinder will just go lean and as you all know, you cannot tune a motor with inconsistent air/fuel mixtures. There is only one way to set up a nitrous kit for our vehicles and that is to purchase six nozzles and run one per intake port. This will give you equal spray patterns throughout all cylinders, making it easier to identify while tuning your engine. On another note, you must have consistent bottle pressure, fuel pressure, bottle temp, fuel temp and a progressive controller to gradually build the shot from a minimum to a maximum. This will recreate the volume of air per cylinder and not damage your bearings by giving it an inconsistent hit like single foggers do! So two things. you cannot hit a big shot instantaneously and you cannot shoot nitrous through a single nozzle! Hope this helps for the non believers?

That has been my thinking on the subject for many years, but then RIPS writes this....
"We always use a single fogger just before the TB and although we have 6 port kits on some motors we have always made enough power without them and they have never been used.
IMO progressive is a waste of time for a small shot and I won't even comment on WON kits compared to NOS or ZEX etc, its not worth the drama, do your own homework, be carefull, make your own decisions but be aware, all is not always as it seems."
With an 80 single wet shot they did this. Red is the N2O hit.

Of course it works, but I am talking about longevity and comfort-ability of knowing that your car is doing what is suppose to do. You cannot spray a equally clean shot with one nozzle. I also agree on progressives being for big shots, but all we shoot is 100+ shots. Both can argue on little things, but we like safety and simple science shows that six nozzles are more efficient and safe. The only reason everyone is so skeptical of nitrous is because they or the tuner is not comfortable with the process of nitrous and how it works, what it does and how to use it? RIPS is a very talented man and has a very loyal following, but like I said a knowledgeable car enthusiast and a good tuner can make any car fast and safe. It's all in the knowledge.

I think little, you think monstrous
I totally agree with you, but for a small 50shot, going off of what RIPS has said many times, a single will work fine. I would not shoot over that without a 6 port, to me that is just engine suicide.

I leave nos for supras
at least gives them a chance
rips run them and still hasn't beat the skyline record in the quarter mile
tritech use it cause he really has no more options
he's right tho
people should read and know the facts of nos and methanol injection systems
